Lukian advises AZ-wanted Thom Van Bergen to spend more time at FC Groningen
Thom Van Bergen is the focus of interest from AZ, but his coach Dick Lukkien advises him to spend another year at FC Groningen so he can further improve his game.
Thom Van Bergen, who is of great interest to AZ, is keen on a move to Alkmaar. However, his coach Dick Lukkien believes he should spend more time at FC Groningen. "I think Thom should stay here for another year. He's still looking to score real goals. If we talk about his game in terms of where he is on the field and the expected goals he's generating, he's good. But he hasn't been able to convert his chances yet," Lukkien said. Lukkian further added, "If he does that, he will definitely achieve good results. So, I would advise him to stay here." On the other hand, AZ is a good club with potential for development, so Lukian understands that it could also be right if Van Bergen wants to make the move. AZ have made several bids for Van Bergen, but no agreement has yet been reached with FC Groningen. Van Bergen has also shared his thoughts on this matter.---
