In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey revealed that Chelsea are preparing to sign Bournemouth star Alex Scott. It has been claimed that the Blues will have to compete with Liverpool in the January transfer window to sign the English talent. The Scot has performed brilliantly for Bournemouth this season and has been responsible for some impressive performances in their midfield. The English sensation has featured in six matches for the Cherries so far this campaign, scoring one goal and as many assists. The 23-year-old is one of the most talented central midfielders in the Premier League at the moment. Thus, Chelsea would have the perfect opportunity to sign him this January or at the end of this campaign. His current contract runs until 2028, which could give Chelsea the opportunity to sign him on a cut-price deal next summer.

Scott is a good tackler and is capable of making important interceptions for his team. When the opposition is attacking, he is capable of clearing his lines and dribbling well with the ball. He has the ability to shoot the ball with power from long range and has the vision to play decisive passes in the final third. Scott is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also play in the number ten position or as a right winger if needed. He is already well acquainted with the Premier League and will take no time to adapt to life at Chelsea.

We can expect Scott to add energy and dynamism to Chelsea's midfield department. He is good to hold down a regular first team place at Stamford Bridge in the coming years. At the age of 23, the Scot has his best years ahead of him, making him a worthy target for Chelsea. Therefore, it would be wise for coach Xabi Alonso to put all his efforts to sign him this winter or at the end of this season.
